He is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel who served in a variety of posts including assignments to the U.S. Embassies in Moscow and Prague. Following his military service, David was International Senior Director of Business Development at the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company. After becoming a director in Lockheed Martin’s corporate best practices group, he created and conducted the Customer Relations Institute and the Doing Business Overseas Institute at the corporate Center for Leaderships Excellence in Bethesda, Maryland.
Kelly is the Principal of Firefly Consulting in Alexandria, Virginia, advising business executives how to improve customer engagements. She is trained and certified in protocol and etiquette from the accredited Protocol School of Washington.
She has led the marketing and communications charge for two regional law firms in Arizona and Washington, DC. Following that, Kelly developed, managed and promoted events, marketing and member relations for the radio service section of the National Association of Broadcasters. From there, she was the Corporate Protocol Officer and Event Manager for Lockheed Martin Corporate Headquarters where she supported U.S. and global programs for the CEO and Executive Leadership. In 2012 and again in 2016, she received Lockheed Martin’s NOVA Teamwork award, the corporation’s highest recognition, for her customer relations and events work.
